Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
I believe relationships are shaped not only by communication, but by history, stress, trauma, and the ways we learned to survive. Many couples arrive in therapy feeling disconnected, defensive, or worn down by patterns they do not fully understand — yet still holding a desire for things to be different.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I work with couples who want to move out of cycles of conflict and disconnection and toward greater understanding, safety, and emotional intimacy. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens when people feel seen, respected, and supported — not blamed or rushed.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am an Adjunct Professor at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, where I support the development of future marriage and family therapists. This role continually deepens my commitment to thoughtful, ethical, and relationally attuned care.
My approach to couples therapy is calm, structured, and compassionate. I help partners slow down reactive patterns, understand the emotions beneath conflict, and develop new ways of relating that feel more secure and connected. Therapy with me is not about determining who is right or wrong, but about understanding what the relationship is asking for in this season.
I honor the complexity couples bring into the room — including cultural context, family history, faith, stress, and unspoken expectations. Together, we work toward communication that feels safer, conflict that is less damaging, and connection that is more intentional.
